Literacy and teaching students to read is my "thing"! I work with all ages-the littles who are just starting out and are so excited to be reading and writing and the older students who after years of frustration finally are receiving the specialized instruction they need. I tailor each student's lesson to fit their own specific skill level, but also consider their interests and what motivates them best.

Experience :

• I started my career as a public school 8th Grade Language Arts and Reading teacher, but have spent over 12 years as a private tutor in both a private and clinical practice. I've also worked as a classroom teacher in a dyslexia specialized school for three years as a Language Development and Orton-Gillingham teacher for grades 5th-7th).

Education :

• M. Ed., Teaching, Learning and Curriculum with emphasis on Literacy
• TESOL certifcation
• Georgia Teacher Certification: Reading (P-12), ESOL (P-12), Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, Mathematics (grades 4-8)
