I have a passion for helping dyslexic students thrive! I work with students using the Orton-Gillingham approach to tutoring, which has a lot of encouragement and emotional support built in. I also consult with families who are new to the world of dyslexia, and give professional developments to teachers on the topic of creating Dyslexia Friendly Classrooms.

Experience :

• I have 17 years experience as an elementary classroom teacher, and another 19 years working specifically with dyslexic students. For ten of those 19 years I designed, implemented and directed the Dyslexia Center at Lindsay Lane Christian Academy.

Education :

• I have an elementary education degree, and am certified at the Associate Level through Orton Gillingham Academy.

Orton-Gillingham Training Information :

• I have taken the Associate Level training from OGA Fellows several times. I like to audit the training because I always learn new things. I have 30 hours of Advanced training under an OGA Fellow, have completed 100 hours of Fellow supervised practicum, and am certified at the Associate Level through OGA.
