Hi, I'm Kahra! I have a great love for reading, writing, and learning in general.
I am married, and we have 1 daughter. We also have 2 cats and 2 guinea pigs. I am a theater nerd who enjoys performing for people. I can be a little weird at times, but students seem to appreciate it. I love watching students gain new understanding and get involved in their learning.

Experience :

• I taught for a school district for 13 years, teaching every grade and subject in elementary as well as being a reading interventionist and dyslexia teacher. I was nominated for campus teacher of the year as well as being eyed as a potential district model teacher. When I can, I volunteer at a children's theater (ages 6-18) and help backstage as well as occasionally being their music director.

Education :

• I have a degree in English Linguistics and a minor in Psychology from the University of Houston. While training to become a teacher, I worked in the university writing center helping college students with their papers.
