I have been in the education field since 1999. I believe that all students have a right to a free and public education through best practices. As a highly qualified teacher, I offers my clients a wealth of knowledge of alternative teaching strategies, patience, and an understanding of how to differentiate learning for your unique child! Additionally, I believe that a child’s growth is not possible without the incredible support of parents; you are your child’s first teacher and advocate. I have worked and co-taught with a wide range of K-12 students both with and without special learning needs.

I offer tutoring support for students aged 5-20 years old with all things literacy: Orton-Gillingham reading therapy, Handwriting Without Tears penmanship, Writing/Grammar instruction, spelling instruction, reading comprehension strategies, Orton-Gilligham/Structured Word Inquiry Morphological studies, and keyboarding skills. Using all my training and tools, I create an individualized lesson for your unique child! I specialize in working with students who are: neurodiverse, dyslexic, autistic, have ADHD, or any child who needs explicit instruction to increase her/his/their literacy skills.

I work either in person or online with my students. My office is located in Westminster, CO.

I live in Thornton, CO with my husband and three boys. During my free time, I enjoy reading, knitting, hiking, yoga, and volunteering.

Experience :

• 25 years teaching experience -- all with K-12 students who are neurodiverse and/or twice exceptional. This include: autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, auditory processing disorder, visual processing disorder, and gifted. I also have three twice exceptional kids of my own.
• I have been running my private practice for over 10 years working. I have worked with kids using the Orton-Gillingham approach, reading comprehension skills, composition skills, and study skills.
