Hello! My name is Diane Tarr and I am thrilled to offer my tutoring services to students who may need extra support in their academic journey. With over 11 years of experience in special education and reading instruction, I have developed a deep understanding of the unique needs of students with learning disabilities, particularly those with language-based difficulties.

Experience :

• I have received Level 1 certification in Orton Gillingham, a highly effective approach for teaching individuals with dyslexia and other language-based challenges. This comprehensive training focuses on principles of effective instruction, dyslexia, phonemic awareness, and other foundational skills necessary for reading and language development. I have also completed the Associate level training and practicum, further enhancing my ability to address the needs of struggling readers of all ages, including those with more complex learning profiles.

Education :

• I hold a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in Reading from Gordon College in Wenham, MA. Additionally, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and English, with a concentration in Special Education, from the same institution. My educational background has equipped me with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively support students in their learning journey.
