Hi! I'm Dr. Collins. My passion is opening up the world to students through reading and writing. I specialize in the remediation of reading and writing difficulties in clinical, small group, and classroom settings, as well as writing instruction for students with Attention Deficit, Dysgraphia, and Autism Spectrum disorders.

Experience :

• For over 30 years I have worked with learners from Kindergarten to Graduate School - both in schools and in private practice - focusing on helping them grow as readers and writers. I have been a classroom teacher, a literacy specialist, a literacy coach, and a teacher trainer. I bring all of that experience to providing personalized and individualized instruction and support to children and families who need something more or something different than what they are currently receiving in their school environment.

Education :

• I hold a Master of Arts Degree in Curriculum & Instruction in Reading from the University of Colorado, and a Doctorate of Education from Teachers College, Columbia University in Curriculum & Teaching with an emphasis on Literacy. I also hold multiple state and professional certifications in literacy instruction.
