I have a Master of Science in Education with an emphasis on Reading and Literacy from Cal State Fullerton. After receiving my Master’s Degree, I dedicated two years of service to AmeriCorps, through Reading Partners Los Angeles, teaching lower-income students struggling to read at their grade level. I’ve researched and applied methods for emerging readers and those needing guidance and motivation in multiple contexts.

Education :

• At California State University, Fullerton (CSUF), I researched best practices to explicitly teach the 5+ key elements of literacy, how to assess the needs of struggling readers, and focused on how motivation and choice influence learning to read.
