I am a former journalist who fell in love with teaching reading while teaching my own children how to read. As a former journalist I know how important literacy and comprehension is for each child. I am passionate about helping children crack the code and become fluent readers.

Experience :

• I have been working as a reading tutor for Windsor Public Schools since 2018. I am currently working as the Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist for the district. I have experience working with children in kindergarten through 8th grade.

Education :

• My bachelor's degree is in Broadcast Journalism, but I have received training in Orton-Gillingham and Phonological Awareness through the Institute for Multisensory Education.

Orton-Gillingham Training Information :

• I received my Orton-Gillingham and Phonological Awareness training in the summer of 2023. During the 2023-2024 school year, I completed my OG practicum. I am now an Orton-Gillingham Certified Instructor and a Certified Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist.
