I am a former special education teacher and a mother of 3 children ages 17, 15 and 12. I have a Master's Degree in Moderate Special Needs (pre-k-9th grade) from Simmons University. I have taught in the Natick, Newton and Brookline school systems in co-taught inclusion classrooms. In addition to educational consulting and counseling, I am an Orton Gillingham tutor with Associate certification from the Academy of Orton Gillingham. My youngest child suffered a stroke in utero. That diagnosis has brought considerable challenges to our family. When we received her diagnosis, I chose not to return to teaching. When she was 5, she was diagnosed with dyslexia. This was the catalyst for me to pursue my current role as a consultant and tutor. I have spent the last 7 years working with families to help children achieve happiness and success.
