Hello, I'm Jennifer Hembree. I am a certified Special Education Teacher in Maine. I have been teaching in a resource room for six years. I am trained in the Orton Gillingham method through IMSE.

I am a mom of three and I have been married to my husband for more than 20 years. We spent most of our marriage as a Navy Family living on the east and west coasts and in Europe. I have lived in Maine for 10 years since his retirement.

As a child, I struggled with reading and was diagnosed with Dyslexia in high school after my younger sister was diagnosed. I can relate to the challenges and struggels my students experience and use that understanding to help them understand who they are as readers and build their confidence as students. . I believe students with learning challenges are the most resilient and hard-working students there are. It doesn't come easy to them, however, they have the ability to learn and grow and know what it's like to need to put the time and effort in therefore they become more successful people.
