My name is Tammi Swensen and I live in Taunton, Massachusetts with my husband and two teenage children, a son (16) and a daughter (13). My daughter experienced challenges acquiring beginning reading skills from a young age and was diagnosed with dyslexia in 1st grade. With both my mom and teacher hats on, I became engrossed in trying to learn as much as I could about dyslexia, and most importantly, what my daughter needed to become a successful learner. The experience of supporting my daughter developed into a passion and strong desire to help other children with reading deficits and disabilities, especially dyslexia.
