I have retired from working in Hull Public schools in a team based learning classroom ages K-5 serving the speech and language needs in addition to providing reading services to those children with dyslexia.

• Co- taught a Team-based-learning program grades K-5. I was responsible for creating and directing speech and language 1:1 and small groups. Responsible for reading instruction 1:1 and small groups. Provided consultation to general education and special education staff regarding student needs and best practices.

• September 2006- June 2014 Responsibilities included reducing or eliminating speech and language difficulties that interfere with the students’ abilities to make effective progress in their educational programming. I served as a resource to school staff members and parents on the development of a balanced program for students with speech and language disabilities. Provide direct therapy to students of all ages through implementation of small group and/or inclusion intervention focused on listening, speaking, reading, writing, auditory memory/processing, executive functioning, and social thinking/pragmatics skills to support academic and social competencies.

• Responsible for the development and supervision of house and community based work experience for deaf emotionally disturbed adolescents, taught work related classes, provided one to one support for working students and ongoing support and training for the management of community based worksites. Created, coordinated and supervised summer programs, which consisted of academic, independent living skills and vocational components.
