I'm Ms. Maloney and I've been a certified K-6 teacher for 7 years! I am passionate about ensuring that ALL students have the opportunity to feel confident while reading, writing, and spelling! No matter where we start, practice makes progress! The approach I use for tutoring is called the Orton-Gillingham Approach. It is a direct, explicit, multisensory, structured, sequential, diagnostic, and prescriptive way to teach literacy when reading, writing, and spelling does not come easily to individuals.

Experience :

• I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education (K-6) from UCF and have been teaching in the classroom and tutoring ever since. This coming school year will be my eighth year as a teacher and I could not imagine doing anything else! I believe that every student should feel confident while reading, writing, and spelling no matter their age, background, or learning style.
