Hello,
My name is Catherine Grant. I have been a special education teacher for over thirty years. I became OG certified in 2013 and hold both initial and advanced level certifications. I have tutored for many years, throughout the school year and summer months. While I love teaching in the classroom, tutoring offers another way to connect with students where I can provide 1:1, explicit instruction. My lessons are specific to each child's needs, are multisensory, and incorporate games/activities to keep all learners engaged. My goal, when tutoring, is to develop a rapport with each student so that they will learn to take risks, feel more confident as a reader, and translate this confidence into everyday learning.
