At Columbus Tutoring Services we offer a variety of services for children with and without diagnosed learning disabilities or other special needs in the areas of math, reading, spelling, written expression, organization, executive functioning skills, behavior, and more. Our mission is to deliver high-quality, comprehensive tutoring to meet the individual needs of each student. Our tutors want to be a resource for students, teachers, and parents—to help students succeed in school and beyond. Our number one objective is to support our students’ achievement. This can be as straightforward as helping students with homework or helping them better understand course content. It also includes coaching students about organization and study habits, helping them cultivate self-discipline and self-confidence about their academic abilities, helping them prepare for standardized or achievement tests, or helping them forge a positive personal relationship with school and/or learning. Since our founding, we’ve worked with numerous clients throughout the area. Great service begins and ends with experienced and friendly professionals, which is why we put so much consideration into selecting only the best to join our team.

Experience :

• Rayna holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music Therapy and a Master's Degree in Special Education. She is a licensed Intervention Specialist K-12 and has 20 years of experience working with students with Dyslexia and Learning Disabilities. Rayna is currently a Fellow in Training with the Orton-Gillingham Academy. Rayna has extensive training in teaching reading, including Certified Level Orton Gillingham Method of Instruction through the Orton-Gillingham Academy and Level 1 Certification through the Wilson Language System.
• Rayna has experience as a classroom resource teacher, inclusion special education teacher, school-wide literacy coach, and private intervention specialist. Currently, along with 1:1 and small group tutoring, Rayna is co-teaching Classroom Educator, Associate, and Certified Level Courses for teachers through the Orton-Gillingham Academy. She is mentoring teachers as they work their way through the OG certification process.​
• New Albany - Plain Local Schools in Ohio recently hired Rayna as their Dyslexia Specialist Consultant in order to be compliant with the new Ohio Dyslexia Law.
