I am a certified Orton-Gillingham reading specialist, dedicated to helping students of all ages learn to read, write, and spell through evidence-based practices.

I grew up in Rhode Island and earned bachelor’s degrees in both elementary education and music from the University of Rhode Island. As a classroom teacher, I discovered my true passion for teaching reading, which inspired me to complete a master’s degree in reading education.

Life took me on many adventures while my husband served in the U.S. Coast Guard, but eventually we returned to Rhode Island with our four children to be closer to family and friends. My desire to help others learn to read led me to pursue training as an Orton-Gillingham practitioner.

While I loved being a classroom teacher, I now enjoy the flexibility of working as an independent reading specialist. What I love most is being able to give students—especially those with dyslexia or other learning challenges—the focused, one-on-one support they need to grow into confident readers, writers, and spellers. Whether you’re seeking help for a child or for yourself as an adult, I’m here for support!
